1 )   Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Operated by Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-11, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Travel about .8
miles and turn left at the stoplight onto Sandbridge Road. Continue about 2.1
miles and turn left at the stop sign. Travel 3.3. miles and turn right onto
Sandpiper Road. Travel about 4.2 miles. Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge
will be at the end of Sandpiper Road.

Site info: There is a $4 entry fee for the refuge. Annual passes are
available, call for more information. Restroom facilities are available. The
refuge and ramp are open year round from dawn to dusk. Launching
facilities are for non-motorized boats only.

2 )  Drum Point Boat Ramp-Mill Landing Rd.
Operated by Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-11, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Continue for about
8.1 miles and turn left onto Mill Landing Road. Continue about 3 miles.
Drum Point Boat Ramp will be at the end of Mill Landing Road.

Site info: Parking and ramp use are free. Restroom facilities are not
available. The launch site is open year round, 24 hours a day.

3-5)   False Cape State Park-Barbour Hill.
False Cape Landing & Wash Woods
Operated by Virginia's Department of Conservation & Recreation.

Directions: These sites are only accessible by non-motorized boats. Boat
docks are provided at all 3 sites.
Site info: The park is generally open from dawn to dusk; please call in
advance for specific park hours. Each dock is located near a hiking trail
which leads to pit toilets: drinking water is not available.

6 )  Little island Park
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-11, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Travel about .8 miles and turn left at the stoplight onto Sandbridge Road. Continue about 2.1 miles and turn left at the stop sign. Travel 3.3. miles and turn right onto Sandpiper Road. Travel about 3.7 miles. Little Island Park will be on your left.

Site info: There may be a fee for parking during the summer. Restroom
facilities are available. The park is open year round from dawn to dusk. To
access the Atlantic Ocean, you will need to transport your canoe/kayak from
the parking lot to the beach (approximately 50 yds.) To access Back Bay,
you will need to transport your craft across the road (approximately 50 yds.)

7 )   Trojan Waterfowl Management Area

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-11, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Travel about 13.2
miles to Back Bay Landing Road. Turn right onto Back Bay Landing Road
and continue about 1.6 miles. The Trojan Waterfowl Management Area is at
the end of Back Bay Landing Road.

Site info: Parking is free. Restroom facilities are not available. The ramp
is open year round, 24 hours a day. Please abide by posted management area rules and regulations.

8) Broad Bay Access  64th Street-First Landing State Park
Operated by Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Directions: From the Resort area, traveling North along Atlantic Avenue.
Turn left onto 64th Street and proceed into First Landing State Park.
Site info: There is an entry fee for the park; use of the ramp is free for
non-motorized craft. Restrooms facilities and drink machines are available.
The park and ramp are open year round from 8 am to dusk.

9) Elizabeth River Access  Elizabeth River at Carolanne Farm Park
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation. 
There is no phone at the site.

Directions: From the Resort area, take Route 44 to Witchduck Road. At
the stoplight at the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto Witchduck Road-
At the Princess Anne Road stoplight, turn right. Turn left at the light
—stoplight after the Witchduck Road intersection onto Parliament,
the stopsign you will see Carolanne Farm Neighborhood Park; this is not the
park with the waterway access. Turn right onto Challedon Drive (this will
become Gainsborough Rd.). Travel about .7 miles; Carolanne Farm Park will
be on your left.

Site info: Parking is available along the street. You will need to transport
your canoe/kayak to the launch facility. Restroom facilities are not available.
The launch facility is open year round from dawn to dusk.

Lake Smith Access
10)   Lake Smith Fishing ration
Operated by the City of Norfolk.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel North along Atlantic Avenue.
This will become Shore Drive. Turn left onto Northampton Blvd. Pass
Pleasure House Road, lndepen4ence Blvd, and Jack Frost/Shell Road. Turn
left immediately after passing the lake onto Shell Road and turn left into the
Lake Smith Fishing Center.

Site info: Parking is free. Restroom facilities are available. The Fishing
Station is open year round sunrise to sunset. Various fees are charged; call
for more information.

North Bay Access
11)   L&Ms Garden Park
Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation. 
There is no phone at the site.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-1 I, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Travel about .8
miles and turn left onto Sandbridge Road. Travel about 2.1 miles and turn
left at the stopsign. Cross the small bridge. Lotus Garden Park is on the right
hand side, just past the bridge.

Site info: Parking is limited; restroom facilities are not available.
The park is open year round from dawn to dusk.

Northwest River Access
12)    Northwest Park
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation.

Directions: from the Resort area, travel South along General Booth
Blvd. Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At
the stoplight at the 7-11, turn left onto Princess Anne Road. Travel about 20
miles apd turn right ootoifunden Point Road. Travel about I mile then turn
right onto Peftey Laiiei.Munden Point Park is at the end of Pefley Lane.

Site info: Parking,ramp use, and dock use are free. Restroom facilities are
available. Both the ramp and the dock are open year round form dawn to
dusk. Canoe rentals are available from April through October. A $3 deposit
is required. Each half hour cost $ 1.50. One person in the canoe must be age
16 or older; rental canoes are not allowed into the Intercoastal Waterway.

13)  North Landing River
Natural Area Preserve
Operated by Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-11, continue straight on Princess Anne Road. At the
Virginia Beach Municipal Center go straight; you will now be on North
Landing Road. Cross the Chesapeake border. Turn left onto Fentress Airfield Station and immediately turn left onto Blackwater Road. Travel about 5 miles and pass Old Carolina Road. Turn left into the North Landing River
Natural Area Preserve, just pass Old Carolina Road.

Site info: Parking and launch use are free. You will need to transport your
canoe/kayak .44 miles from the parking area. A porta-john is available; there
is no running water. The Preserve is open 8 a.m. to dusk daily.

Rudee inlet Access
14)   Owls Creek Boat Ramp
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation.
There is no phone at the site.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South across the Rudee Inlet
Bridge. Travel about a half mile and turn right into the Owls Creek
Municipal Boat Ramp parking lot, just before the Virginia Marine Science
Museum.

Site info: Parking is free. Restroom facilities are not available. The ramp
and parking lot are open year round from dusk to dawn.

West Neck Creek Access
15) Launch at Dower's Bridge
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation. 
There is no phone at the site.

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
Pass Birdneck Road, Dam Neck Road, and London Bridge Road. At the
stoplight at the 7-1 I, go straight onto Princess Anne Road. Dozier's Bridge
is approximately .3 miles after the Seaboard Road stoplight. The launch
facility is on the right immediately after crossing the bridge.

Site info: This site features a parking lot and wooden launch. No restroom
facilities are available.

16)   West Neck Marina

Directions: From the Resort area, travel South along General Booth Blvd.
At the stoplight at the 7-1 I, continue straight on Princess Anne Road. At the
Virginia Beach Municipal Center go straight; you will now be on North
Landing Road. Turn left onto West Neck Road. Pass Indian River Road.
After you cross West Neck Bridge, West Neck Marina will be on the right
hand side.

Site info: There is a fee for parking. Bathroom facilities are available.
Kayak rentals and guided tours are available for a fee. West Neck Marina is
generally open daily from dawn to dusk.
